Ako zachovať konzistentnosť farby LED

Jul 02, 2021

First of all, led beads are different from Bin and gear. Different Bin and gear need to be mixed according to the rules, otherwise there will be color difference and other adverse conditions. The sub Bin and mixed Bin schemes of particles produced by different companies are different, depending on the mixed Bin scheme given by the light source supplier. When you don't know how to mix Bin, it is recommended to use single Bin.

Let's talk about gears first. Generally, the gear is determined according to the chip difference of the light source itself. The more common categories are voltage, current and lumen output (luminous flux). In the light source packaging production process, large manufacturers cannot guarantee that the same products produced at the same time are in the same voltage, current and luminous flux output due to the huge production order. Therefore, after the production of repackaged products is completed, there will be a process called "light selection", that is, the light source will be classified by the light separator equipment. The classified light source will be divided into several types according to different voltages, different currents and different luminous flux output, which is called "gear".

For example, the common light source gear subdivision (no practical significance, for reference only)

A: Voltage 2.9-3.0v, Luminous flux 21-23

B: Voltage 3.0-3.1v, luminous flux 23-25mc

C: Voltage 3.1-3.2v, luminous flux 25-27m.

Next, Bin is an abstract concept. In the assessment of color consistency in human life, white has off white, pure white and milky white, green has dark green and light green. For LED light source, the same color temperature of 3000K, the color of different light sources are not the same.

LED Bin related to color consistency

In the process of light source selection, the light, color and electricity are tested, and the color coordinates are obtained. If the color coordinates fall in different positions of McAdam ellipse, the colors will be different. For example, in the above figure, although the red dots in different areas of the 3000K McAdam ellipse belong to the 3000K range, it is possible to find color differences by human eye observation. Therefore, the light source supplier will divide the entire 3000K range into multiple regions. For example, in the figure above, it is divided into four ABCD regions to form four different BINs. For example, the five red dots (color coordinates) in the figure above fall into different zones.

In short, to keep the consistency of LED color is to subdivide the color temperature partition, so that the color of the light source in the same color temperature partition is highly consistent.
